On November 17th Eric’s Corner hosted an amazing evening highlighting Epilepsy Awareness. The event was held at Dublin High School and featured “Under the Lights”, an award winning short film, raising epilepsy awareness and fighting epilepsy stigma. There was also an Epilepsy Awareness Art Competition. Dublin High School Catering class did a great job providing us with yummy snacks and desserts! Thank you to all of our volunteers. We hope to see you again at other events. We want to thank everyone who came out to show their support for this wonderful cause. We couldn’t do it without you.

Ron Holman offered an insightful introductory speech on his life having seizures, how support groups help & how the audience can learn to help if they experience a person having a seizure.
This evening wouldn’t have been possible without the hours of hard work put in by Kim Zamrzla. Thanks Kim!
It was such a treat to have Miles, the director of the film, share his story with us and explain what went in to making his film. He said, ” Wow, this is the biggest screen and theater that I have seen my film on, what an amazing event and experience!”
Dublin High School students volunteered to set up the event, MC our event, and read a paper written by a teen with Epilepy – titled My Monster.
One of the students won the Viewers Choice Award for the Art Contest!
